Checking out at Emberandpines should be as simple as packing a daypack. This page explains how payment works, which methods we accept and what to do if a payment does not go through.

Accepted payment methods

PayPal is our only payment gateway. Through PayPal, you can pay with:

• Your PayPal balance
• A bank account linked to PayPal
• A credit or debit card: Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover, using PayPal guest checkout, with no PayPal account required

Currency, taxes and shipping

All prices are listed in US dollars (USD). Applicable sales tax and shipping charges are calculated and shown at checkout before you confirm your payment. Shipping rates and delivery times are explained in our Shipping Policy.

When your order is processed

We begin processing your order only after your payment has been confirmed. Some payments may go through an additional verification step before they are confirmed.

Payment security

Our site is served over an encrypted SSL connection, and payments are completed on PayPal's secure checkout. We do not store your full card details.

Fraud prevention

To protect our customers, we may cancel, hold or decline any order that appears fraudulent or unauthorized, and we may ask for additional information to verify an order before it ships.

Refunds

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method. Your bank or PayPal may need extra time to show the credit. For eligibility and timing, see our Returns & Refunds Policy.

If your payment fails

• Double-check your billing details, card number, expiration date and security code.
• Confirm that your payment method is active and has sufficient funds or credit.
• Contact your bank or card issuer, as they sometimes block online payments for security reasons.
